Student Council
At Broomhill Bank School’s west site the student council has been running for over 10 years.
It consists of a minimum of one and maximum of three student councillors per year group, all councillors are equal and decisions are made by voting. Councillors are elected regularly and serve for a variable amount of time. Over the years the council has been involved with a range of projects such as the introduction of blazers to the school uniform and gathering views about potential changes to the school.
The students take their roles as student councillors very seriously and are often asked to be ambassadors for the school, interviewing potential new staff and escorting visitors around the grounds and classrooms.
